Breads Bakery is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic individual to join our operations team as an assistant manager. Breads Bakery is a New York bakery dedicated to producing handmade breads and pastries using traditional baking techniques, and providing our guests with an unforgettable experience.
Our operations department is the connection between production and our shops. The team consists of our drivers, dispatchers, AM & PM 'ops' members and is overseen by the Cheif Operations Officer. The team is responsible for the counting, tracking, and delivery of all products, ingredients, and supplies on our box truck from our flagship Union Square location to our Lincoln Center, Bryant Park, and Brooklyn locations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Background in hospitality and/or the food & beverage industry (>1-year experience preferred) Punctual and dependable
Exceptional time management and attention to detail
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
Remarkable communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving aptitude, and ability to multitask
A can-do attitude and excellent team player Must be willing and able to work holidays and weekends
Position Responsibilities and Expectations:
Receive and oversee wholesale, catering, and internal deliveries.
Maintain a 'Yes' mindset and troubleshoot through any obstacles that may arise; govern service recovery as needed with professionalism and sincerity.
Communicate with all departments and Breads Bakery locations to ensure proper deliveries, inventory and quality are maintained- recognizing that every day presents varying needs and adjusting numbers to minimize waste and optimize sales.
Report directly to the COO and CEO- assisting them in effectively and positively leading the operations team; overseeing procedures and activity in their absence and assisting in administrative and practical tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing space in accordance with operations and sanitation guidelines.
Oversee staff throughout shift, delegating tasks as needed, ensuring responsibilities are met and, when possible, exceeded.
