The global Market Access organization is mission-critical in achieving the commercial potential of all products and is integrated into all stages of a products lifecycle. By proactively identifying strategic market access drivers and ensuring that the payor perspective is integrated in every stage of a products lifecycle, global Market Access supports the efficient development of differentiated products thereby generating value for patients, physicians and payors. This position assumes the role of Director Global HEOR Oncology responsible for developing and successfully embedding within main countries (all regions) health economic and outcomes research solutions to optimize pricing and reimbursement of Bayer products.YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role, Director Global HEOR- Oncology, are to:  Leading the development and execution of a global, comprehensive and scientifically rigorous GHEOR program that is aligned with the commercial and market access strategies for the brand(s) and with the must-win countries;Responsible for driving the collaborative generation of a payer evidence strategy, plan, the evidence deliverables (e.g.: payer-perspective in clinical trials, Real Life studies, patient reported outcomes, resource data collection, statistical analyses including network meta-analyses and economic models) and their communication through Global Value Dossiers (GVD), publications, etc for a Bayer product / indication together with the main countries and the cross-functional GMACS team;Ensuring that the market access and payer perspective is integrated in the target product profile, the clinical development program(s), the Real Life Evidence development program(s), and in the commercial strategy of the brand(s);Providing timely strategic recommendations to early clinical development programs by identifying appropriate comparators, target patient populations, and end-points (clinical, economic, patient reported outcomes) aimed at ensuring differentiation for the purpose of relative value demonstration, and by giving input to HPRs;Coordinating a common global strategy and package for submissions to health technology assessment (HTA) agencies in securing reimbursement;Developing together with the Access Core Team value propositions and proactively identifying evidence requirements to support relative value demonstration and product differentiation;Representing the GHEOR function in senior managerial meetings, managing effective communications with various internal global/regional team(s), as well as appropriate external forums and meetings.WHO YOU AREYour success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values.  More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:Required Qualifications:Doctoral degree (PhD, DRPH, ScD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics or a doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (medicine, pharmacy, nursing) preferred; Minimally the position requires a masters degree (MSc, MPH) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics;>10 years experience working in HEOR, Market Access and/or closely related areas in a pharmaceutical company, including substantial experience in both Global roles as well as country-specific roles in important and complex markets such as the US, Europe, or other, highlevels of technical expertise in at least one of the core dimensions of Real World Evidence, Economic Modelling, Patient Reported Outcomes Development, Patient Preference Method with a broad range of hands-on experience across the dimensions of evaluation of health economics, health related quality of life, epidemiology, and/or health services research studies for a pharmaceutical company, in depth knowledge of global health care systems and understand needs for health technology assessment and market access;Experience in preparing of reviewing materials for reimbursement, fundamental knowledge in associated areas like Pharmacoepidemiology, Clinical Development and/ or Market Access strategies, excellent interpersonal skills required: ability to understand and respond to multiple internal and external customer demands and manage and handle conflict constructively with limited supervisory support required, excellent oral and written English communication skills required, excellent judgment negotiation and influence, excellent process and project management skills required, ability to manage a significant volume of projects with exercise of good triage and judgment skills, experience in management of GHEOR staff including objective setting, coaching and performance management preferred, project team leadership skills.Skill in demonstrating leadership through action is important as well as skill in persuasion and negotiation as the position is one with responsibility for product lines but does not have supervisory authority over people assigned to the products, publication experience preferred, project management skills and cross-functional team leadership experience desirable.Country: United StatesState: New JerseyLocation: WhippanyReference Code: 66269Functional Area:Market AccessEntry Level : Professional
